Boot Camp Assistant is missing

August 29th, 2008 at 21:00

It seems that still some people get Macs without Boot Camp Assistant installed.

Basicly that should not happen with Leopard Macs, as Boot Camp is officially Part of Mac OS X since 10.5

If you have similar problems follow those steps to solve that issue:

  • Check if Boot Camp Assistant is really not existing in /Applications/Utilities ;)
  • Insert your Mac OS X Install Disc 1
  • In Finders menubar select: Go to Folder
  • Enter:  /Volumes/Mac OS X Install Disc 1/System/Installation/Packages
  • Double-click BootCamp.pkg to install Boot Camp Assistant
